Lovely bar! Probably one of the most iconic bars in Stellenbosch if not the country. People from every walk of life has come and gone from this bar and it oozes with history. Many a theory and thesis have been formulated around the old oak tables and cold on tap beers. De Akker is for everyone who wants to experience good old stellenbosch.

Great vibe. Very busy even for a Friday night. Drinks reasonably priced but you had to wait quite long for service.

Stellenbosch is a beautiful place and what better way to end the day than a Sun downer at De Akker. Crisp cold beers. Perfect!!

It's a nice place to grab a drink and be immersed in the nightlife of Stellenbosch. Don't expect anything fancy, but if you are looking for a bar with history, give it a visit

Great place to stop off for a few afternoon drinks. Outdoor area has water mist sprays to keep you cool on the outside while the great selection of drinks kept me cold on the inside. We didn't have food but the portions going to neighbouring tables looked impressive.
