Beautiful scenery, not too crowded. No shop though. Sunset even more beautiful! Relaxing way to end the day.

Nice place to take family, toilets are clean. The tidal pool had a few broken glass. The had a lekker braai there. Take your gazebo or umbrella for shade.

What a beautiful place. Stunning views with a beautiful beach and tidal pool and braai facilities. A tuckshop (with the friendliest people) where you can get everything and more that you forgot at home. Just one regret, all the broken glass in the sand, all over the picnic area, tidal pools and beach area. More law enforcement is needed to prevent all the people from drinking alcohol.

Maidens' Cove is an extraordinarily beautiful Public Open Space. It has unique cultural and historical significance and, during apartheid, was one of only two areas on the Atlantic Seaboard where so-called 'non-Europeans', or 'non-whites' could access the coastline. The area is Public Open Space and in close proximity to environmentally protected areas, including the Clifton Scenic Reserve (a Provincial Heritage site), Earl's Dyke, the Unesco proclaimed Table Mountain World Heritage Site and the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected area. Although the shoreline is, Maidens' Cove and has some of the best 'braai' (barbeque) spots in Cape Town, two well-protected tidal pools and a sandy beach area.

Good braai areas. They're close to the beach and tidal pool, so no need to wonder around looking for the water. Not lots of trees, make sure you bring your own shade with you, at noon the sun beats down directly overheard. There are lifeguards on duty when the high tide rolls in. All in all very nice place, peaceful and scenic ????????????????????

We used Maidens Cove as a pick up point for a tour group we were taking on our Harley’s. It was a stunning setting and great place to start the ride. Awesome views.

It's was OK, the braai facilities are not great but you can make it work. I would suggest something more child friendly like the unused pool could be changed into a water sprouting pool to run trough water for the little ones that can't swim. Other than that the tuck shop had umbrellas to rent and it's a very good idea to get there very early because you won't easily find a spot if you are thinking of going mid day.
