With products that mostly resemble the cheap section of IKEA, I wouldn't buy their furniture, however their incidental decor and soft furnishings are a good quality, for the most part.

They could display their merchandise better so one could actually read the price. I had to take a very heavy mirror out from between others only to find that the price sticker was not printed properly. So I still was not sure of the price - and with no staff member in sight, had to put it back in its place on my own.

The cashier was really kind and helpful. It is unacceptable that they have no trolleys or baskets at their store! I had to ask Mr. Price Home to keep my shopping and walk to Checkers to fetch one and they weren't so keen on handing out one of theirs. I have never been to a shop without their own. The layout could also be better. There's not much space to look at items that are breakable, especially if the store is busy.

What an absolute bad experience in the Cape Gate branch. First, they have absolutely NO baskets/trolley for.you to carry your items. Staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and make you feel like they are doing you a favor to do their jobs. The gentleman behind me was standing rather close and I asked him to please adhere to the social distancing rules (which I should not have to feel guilty about) the distance is clearly marked on the floor after all. He was not very impressed ???? I just buried my sister yesterday so frankly, I don't care if.you are feeling offended at the till, I won't even start on the lack of service when returning items. I was charged incorrectly for 5 items and it should have been 6 I was even aware of the error, after all I am there with all 6 items,
but were made out to be the criminal in the story. The gentleman behind me was at the teller next to me, when I concluded my transaction he shouted and waved his arms for me to not walk behind him to leave the shop. Thinking about it, the distance between the front desk and the available space to walk past may possibly not be wide enough, but his rudeness was very amusing for the staff wow, never again MR PRICE. You have speakers, at the very least have a constant recording reminding customers yo adhere to the social distancing rules. As for your staff, well, good luck with customer retention.

I found these beautiful curtains the Mr Price app. Knowing that I wouldn't receive the order before Christmas, I decided to check availability in store. The app showed that the curtains were available in store. However, the stock had not been unpacked. There were two individuals working at the store, in particular I want to note Zachary. He went above and beyond to communicate with me regarding the matter and sent me regular updates regarding the curtains. In the end, I purchased another set of curtains but the service and dedication displayed by Zachary and his colleagues made the shopping experience very pleasant, especially during such a busy festive season. He deserves recognition for his client service and hope that he gets promoted in the store.

Mr Price Home Cape Gate has the worst customer service. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. At the till there is always one staff member on duty not matter how many people are in the que to pay. The staff do not have a passion for their job. It's better to drive a little bit further to shop at a MR Price where you actually get good service.
