I only have one one point to raise that did the damage to there rating.

To be fair, rooms clean, as was the whole property. Nice pool and stunning views from the deck.

This took place recently after curfew was finally lifted

Our first night my other half had to make a late night trip to visit an ill friend close by. Quite a struggle to get out and in as all gates and reception were securely locked. Absolutely plus if not for the fact you are not given a key to use or informed during checking in that you are a paying prisoner.

On day 2 we asked for a key as the situation would most likely happen that night. We we informed after paying for a month stay upfront. That rather we should call a gentleman living on premises. He assured me that it would not be a problem.

At just after 2 am the call wakes us same issue. But instead off tired, slightly grumpy, I've been awoken from a pleasant dream. The same gentleman launches into a shouting fit complaining he must woke in a few hours and this is unacceptable.and a problem.

That afternoon we were particularly refunded and asked to find other lodging. We lost money as due to our visit being shorter than paid for we were now liable for a higher rate???

I have visited hotels, lodges and guesthouses worldwide. Never except during curfew where my movements noted or restricted..

I must say we booked in a good neighborhood and great establishment. But the unfortunate part was that the owner of the guesthouse next door was a pain in the neck. He wants to run two guest houses at once while he own's a single guest house. We had two absolutely marvelous individuals(Munya and Queen) who were trying by almeans to assist us and also keep this neighbor happy as he sends messages up to 3am while we are asleep

So much noise and parting until after 22h00 at night, No control over holiday makers. Parties going on until 03h00 in the morning. Holiday makers thinking it a joke when confronted. No consideration for other holiday makers visiting or trying to sleep.

Besides the disappointment of them not providing an iron, the place is nice and comfortable. Very neat and organized in the room. The water would turn cold in the middle of my shower then hot again, not sure what happened there. Overall experience was good.

First impressions always last the treatment we got during check in was not impressive we felt belittled. The rooms were very clean cleaned everyday. The cleaning ladies and the care taker were amazing and helped us with a lot.

Your basics are all covered. Best for small groups of 4 or more if you want your own room.
