Just amazing! I cannot wait to visit again, as there are some dishes I want to try. The fried ginger chicken dumplings and sticky ribs were delicious! Sesame crusted tuna was faultless. Atmosphere and service was great!

Fine dinning restaurant. Expect to spend at least R200. I suggest getting different tapas instead of one main meal. Food is delicious. Portions are a bit small. Service is fast and friendly. Table lighting is great.

The food was fast, fresh and delicious. Ask for the off menu fried chicken and ginger dumplings, we also had the lamb chops, prawn bar and Thai papaya salad, all were great

Amazing food and staff. Nothing less than 5 stars. We had several different items to eat, from calamari, ribs, bar buns, prawns, zuchinni fries, butternut mussel soup, edamamme beans, it was all incredible. Fantastic food, great cocktails and always amazing. Yu, you never disappoint, thank you. The only thing I would ask for is candles on the tables to be able to read the menu.

I simply cannot keep my eyes open whilst eating the food here! From the time we enter the place till the time we leave we are extremely well taken care of. Hats off to the entire team for giving us all a beautiful dining experience ans the most mouthwatering food. Compliments to you all! We will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we are in the Cape!

My Favourite restaurant in Cape Town!
Having enjoyed Chinese food in mainland China I have struggled to find any Chinese food to match that quality, the YU restaurant not only matched the quality and authenticity of the Chinese food but also had the best Sushi I have ever tried.
Located in a far from scenic part of CPT this gem of a restaurant offers the best food and service I have experienced in this city. Despite the location the atmosphere is superb, and the food is surprisingly affordable for what you are getting... but don't be fooled, this is a high end restaurant.
The YU restaurant gets a 5/5 from me!

I enjoyed my visit here. 5star service with a knowledgeable waitor who offered us excellent options based on our preferences. He was able to educate us about the dishes on the menu, assist me with choosing the wine I liked and the food was delicious, filling and well presented. We waited a little longer than we had expected to between our starters and mains because we were very hungry but the food was well worth the wait. The table was a little dark though as it was located between down lights. We had to use our phone torches to see what we were served better. A candle or some sort of soft light on the table wud be appreciated. Yu, I'm looking forward to visiting You again ????
