I have to really dig deep to even rate this place a one star. We had our office lunch there - and yes, we did book a bit late, but I don't think they would have done better if they had more time. The service (and to even make the booking) was tedious and slow, the food was well below standard and the day, well, turned out very disappointing. Lucky we have a fantastic team! We had a lot to celebrate this year, having survived COVID as a company and we really deserved to get much more for our hard earned money. One would think that hospitality businesses would up their game to get ahead of the competition with the current threats that the industry is facing. Please just don't even go there.

This hotel is absolutely unprofessional!!!!!
The manager Liesel doesn't respond to emails, calls etc it seems to be that she's always on leave.
All the staff have no urgency to help the guests.
I was promised a refund 2 months ago as they are changing ownership but still awaiting that!!!
I have called so many times and emailed but had no response.
Liesel is hiding and being absolutely irresponsible as a manager.

I urge people to please not come to this place.
It's a beautiful hotel but the employees run it to the ground.
Absolutely pathetic!!!!!

Such a beautiful place but unfortunately their service is pathetic. We had booked the venue including meals for 32 people. The planning was done via the GM and it was gone over quite a few times between the both us personally and via email. On the day of the function it was total chaos as the GM was off u0026 the lady in charge had no clue what was happening. Firstly none of the guests were screened or sanitized. There were no sanitizer anywhere in sight for the guests. Not one of our arrangements were met. My guests were left waiting for the welcome drinks which was not ready for them. As per the programmer the patio was to be set for us with a mobile bar and platters ready for the guest. We were left waiting around for them to bring out the drinks and platters were not what were promised. It came out in dinner plates! From there it just got worse. The menu which I picked was messed up by the incompetent staff. The guests were seated for the meal and I realized the starters were missing. When I confronted them in thee kitxhwd there was total confusion. The cook had the audacity to ask me how many started I want. I paid for 32 people and I expect 32 portions at least. This was so embarrassing as we had printed out menus for each guest. Instead of hassle back potatoes we got sliced potatoes with the roast. Stuffed chicken became roast chicken pieces with no cranberry or macadamia anywhere in s sight. Salmon terrine become a pancake with smoked salmon. All this done while the guests were waiting to start dinner. Worst experience and totally embarrassing as we paid in advance and it wasn't cheap. I called Liesl the GM and asked her what was going on. Said she will speak to the cook. Afterwards switched her phone off. Really sad as this was a a top place
previously and is going downhill fast. The room we booked
had no towels and bath was a mess. Disgraceful! Dirty. Total disappointment. Won't recommend to anyone for the price they charge.
I will however give credit to the waiter Malik who was running around all alone with one other waitress trying to service 32 people. There was no communication between the GM and her staff or they just didn't care about their guests. Sad and disappointed!

Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Rooms and bedding are clean,neat. There is an external shower and tub outside. The landscaping is designed so well. Haibo. Kumnandi laphana!

Here currently for new years, awesome setting and accommodation, excellent staff and friendly atmosphere. Great rooms and clean home

Attended a function here. Beautiful garden for taking pics outdoors. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Shocking service, room not cleaned properly, room service delivered with no cutlery or condiments of any kind. DSTV did not work, jacuzzi not cleaned at all, sheets torn, returning to our room on our 3rd night there and we have 4 hand towels, no bath towels no gowns. 1 small bar of soap to use at basin bath and shower for 3 nights stay. I was so looking forward to my stay at this "boutique" hotel but was left with a bitter taste as I feel I just wasted R7500.00 on nothing. Breakfast is extremely limited, and average in taste and appearance, there is no minibar in the room, my room service plates sat outside the room for the better part of 12hrs.
The first room we were put in had a broken window in the shower, the Jacuzzi plug was broken, the cupboard was broken and so was the safe.
The second room had no safe, the manager seemed uninterested in my complaints and the staff did not communicate with her at all the various issues I had.

Don't expect a chocolate mint on your pillow at night, you get a hard cheap boiled sweet,

I would not recommend this hotel as a 4 star let alone a 5 star as they have displayed on the wall of the establishment.

The room was nice but the other things you expect when paying such prices left much to be desired.
