Claim on their menu that they serve and make Chinese beef chow mein... CHINESE CHOW MEIN. Ordered mine... got home and shocked to see they use spaghetti and not egg fried noodles, no soya flavor but mild curry flavour CHINESE CHOW MEIN?!?!?! Really!!!! Curry in chinese!!!!! Zero rating!

Walk in and savour the grilled spice scent of the chicken tikka. The flavour of their food is just as good.

Swaadisht's chicken tikka is the best and if you enjoy milkshakes, their Bombay crush is good too

Mutton curry was delicious but only 4 pieces of meat in a container of gravy. Granted the gravy was delicious but feels like they underportioned the meat. Butter chicken was alarming in colour and more like soup than curry. Very red, very runny and only 6 small cubes of chicken. Not the best we have had and cost us R250 on uber eats so a lil disappointed.

This has to be one of the pleasantest experiences I’ve had. I ordered a chicken chow-main. It was hot, flavourful and all round delicious. The chicken was succulent and it’s definitely value for money. Definitely worth it

So glad that a Swaadisht branch has opened up the hill. Was suitably impressed. Quality, flavour, value for money and cleanliness was top notch. Certainly my favourite Indian take out, not only in Hillcrest but anywhere in Durban.

We had the Wednesday special: a whole tikka chicken, fries, coleslaw and rotis for only R150! It was absolutely delicious. Medium heat packs a punch (for me anyway!). Will definitely go back.

Not great food and pricy. Had better kebabs. Chips tasted old and soggy. Chicken pops were terrible. The Gulab Jamun was soggy.

I wouldn't recommend. The Gate of India is Waaaaaaay better.
