Very disappointing. Could be a very nice establishment, but treatment of guests leave a lot to be desired. Cleaning staff are friendly and try to make up for management shortcomings.
EDIT: This happened over the weekend of 19 to 20 October 2019. I only had a chance to do my review now.
1. The front office manager phoned our room an hour before the end of breakfast to ask if we were coming to dish up. My wife went as I was still sleeping, as was our daughter. When she got there and asked until what time breakfast was served, he said 10:00. Relieved, she commented that she had a lot of time left and he got extremely aggressive, even threatening her life, after saying he would “f” her up. Extremely unstable individual working in the front office.
2. We had a lot of luggage with us and asked, after that traumatising incident, someone who identified himself as the owner whether we could collect ourselves and check out a bit late. He said that we could take as long as we needed, but only needed until 15:00. At about 13:30 a lady we suspect was the housekeeping manager started hanging around our room and asking if we could perhaps hurry up.
3. When we got everything packed, my wife paid for the accommodation, doing an EFT, as we refused to pay by card at the office. Do note that immediate transfers from ABSA to other banks take about an hour to clear. Even after showing the proof of payment, we were held hostage inside the property until the payment cleared in their account.
So, please Judy, tell me how that is worth even a 1 star rating and how you have an obviously unstable person running your front office and have one “owner” telling guests they can take their time packing up, only to have another “manager” come and ask you to hurry up??
Awful experience, and now I remember why it took me so long to write this review.
