I purchased fresh fish yesterday the 13 August and it’s always fresh and the helpers are very friendly and obliging. I popped in to the bakery to get some fresh cream doughnuts and specifically asked for fresh cream and the assistant assured me it was . I was extremely disappointed upon arriving home to find that it was dessert cream and not fresh cream. The bakery staff need to be knowledgable about these things. I paid R25 for two doughnuts which have now gone to waste as I don’t eat dessert or butter cream.

I am so angry. Today I did some shopping and I purchased "prepackaged fresh hake" which is not exactly cheap. Usually the fish is amazing. Today the fish took very long to prepare. The texture of the fish was funny and it did not have any taste. This fish was not fresh at all. There is a possibility it could have been frozen I am not sure but it most definitely was not fresh. I was really looking forward to the fish.

Their fresh fish counter is amazing because the quality is so good and the assistants are very clued up. I told the assistant I wanted something to braai. He made a recommendation and prepared everything professionally in foil. All I can say was, it was just so incredible. Been back numerous times and still getting great service.

Everytime I buy food here I am dissappointed. I visit this branch everytime I visit Sandton. A few months ago I bought a chicken mayo panini which was filled with onions after I asked and was told it does not have onions. When I visited again I bought a crispy chicken panini and the tomatoes was old. The third time I bought a cheese and corn samoosa, I deliberately asked if it has onions and the guy assured me it has no onions so I bought two and when I got home it was actually a corn and onion samoosa with no cheese. I pulled it apart to find one tiny piece of evidence of cheese and nothing. Everytime I visit I have hope that Ill buy something delicious and everytime I am dissapointed. So when I visit Sandton again Ill rather visit another branch of food lovers or find alternative place that actually knows what is in their food.

Always have fresh everything! Love the rolls, meat section (affordable meat trays) , confectionery always fresh!

Basic fruit and veg store with most of what is important. Hidden away in the below level parking lot.

Every time i am in Johannesburg, I make sure i pass by to by my Zimbabwe Kariba Breams. The best so far!
