Lovely, laid back neighborhood pub. Ideal for a quick drink after work or a beer or two on a Sunday afternoon. Service excellent. Food good but not great but it is regular pub fair and suites the place. Older more established patrons. Definitely not rowdy. But keep it that way;-). A place to converse and have a few cold ones. One of my favorite pubs in Johannesburg.

Great pub! We enjoyed atmosphere, level of service, friendliness of staff. Their Classic Burger is the best burger I tried so far!
And it was a great pleasure meeting such a friendly and professional Founders' Manager!

Small venue, but incredibly warm local crowd. Strong drinks and healthy portion sizes of deceptively well made food. Only been once but would definitely go again.

Awesome place to grab a drink with friends. Can get a bit busy though, be prepared to stand while you wait for a table.

Lovely little pub with an authentic feel to it. Reasonable prices and friendly staff! Best local restaurant and pub!

The food is always fresh, well-prepared and extremely affordable for the quality. At night there is a lovely atmosphere: with good music, heaters, a fire, and several locals in attendance. Their cocktails are great and I love that they stock all my favourite drinks (with some options that you don't find at every pub).

Founders at Giles is also perfect for weekend breakfasts. Their breakfast menu is affordable and offers a delicious variety of hearty brekkies that hit every spot and barista quality coffees.

Definitely my favourite regular spot.

Founders - nice place, but 1 hour for a burger to arrive after starters with 30% occupancy in restaurant.. Food was good.

Great environment for a catch up with the lads and also a nice restaurant inside for a more intimate setting. All in all fantastic!
