I was recommended by a family member and I tried their vegetarian pastas with my friends and it was very nice! The service was good and I enjoyed my food, the flavor is different than the usual restaurants ???? will try their pizza some other time ????

My girlfriend and I traveled to Johannesburg from PE for a bodybuilding show this past weekend. On Sunday we decided to revisit Hello Tomato (We have been here once before) to have some proper pizza and pasta. What we got far exceeded our expectations, which were high to start off with! We were greeted by an extremely helpful and friendly waiter whom quickly had us seated and our drinks on the table. After a very short wait for our food it arrived, freshly and warm and absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. There was absolutely no oil to be seen in either my pizza or my girlfriends pasta. All the ingredients were evidently fresh and of the highest quality. I proceeded to compliment the owner and thank him for the meal. The owner (I unfortunately did not get his name) should be proud of the manner in which he runs his business and I would recommend Hello Tomato to anyone for the best quality food and service around! I shall never miss an opportunity to go to Hello Tomato if I am in the Johannesburg area. EXCELLENT, AMAZING and I'm definitely going back.

Pricey food but I enjoyed every bite.
Chocolate custard shake was great too.
Definitely a takeaway place unless there are four or less of you due to limited seating.
One place I'll definitely be back to, need to try the next pizza ????

Pizzas are tasty and hot. Waiters are attentive and friendly too. For a small outlet within a mall they come often to ask how things are and so on.

Not that many tables though so I can imagine that it could get quite crowded during peak times.

Other than the pizzas the pasta is pretty good too.

Recommended for families or couples.
Watch your bags and phones as usual.

Super! We are a fully vegetarian group and we really enjoy coming here! Food was great and very friendly staff. They’ve also partners with Mr. Delivery and Uber eat, best way to get authentic take outs. We sat in for dinner after movies, ordered their company size, just look at it! It’s massive ???????? you’ve got to ask for the in-house chilly which they can provide in request, but be careful - it’s pretty spicy ????

Honestly the best place for pizza and pasta. We can never decide between the two so end up ordering one pizza and pasta to share. The standard size is more than enough and also bigger than most "upsize" options at other places. Tastes nothing like takeaway, instead made with great care and passion. Love love love this place, all the friendly staff and their absolutely amazing food.

Absolutely divine pasta and pizza. So authentic, definitely not the normal stuff that is churned out by most franchises. I have to say that the service was also very good. We tried the pasta with almonds and rocket and it was superb. The mutton sausage pasta was also very good. For pizzas, we had two varieties of the chicken options and both were delicious. They are a bit more pricey compared to most pizza and pasta fast food spots, but I would say that it is well worth it, as you cannot compare the taste and quality.
