I would like to express my displeasure at how Checkers Mall of the North is being managed. We all know that the store is massive and cannot be compared to a corner store in some small town. However, I find it very strange that everytime I visit the store, there are no till-packers. I was there again in the afternoons on Monday (17.10.2022) and Sunday (16.10.2022). This is the third time that I am experiencing the same problem in the store.
Due to lack of till-packers, the waiting time is not acceptable because the cashier has to pack a full trolley afterwards, as it happened on all these occasions that I was there. As a result and as you would imagine, the queues are moving at a very slow pace and this is not fair to us as your customers. A lot of time is lost just by waiting in the queue to pay and take-away your groceries. Obviously, I am very unlikely to say anything positive about the store and its quality of service going forward, if this is going to continue unattended.
The reality is that Management of that Checkers store can afford to hire till-packers and create the much-needed convenience for customers, unless the message is "go elsewhere to buy your groceries". This anomaly must be fixed as what is happening at this store is not acceptable. The quality of service is not that different to what one experiences in a public service environment.
