Simply excellent! Both the service and the food. Every time I travel to Johannesburgo I go to this restaurant. First, because I really like their food. Second, because they know how to prepare it gluten-free. Biryani and other recommendations of the waiter, Musa, are really really worth trying. Very recommendable place to eat in Sandton.

I been to The Royal India many times but this time they won me for life time supporter. I requested the chef to make me and my wife Indian foods with continental touch , wow wow words are less to express my feelings. We enjoyed our marriage anniversary dinner and definitely recommend this place.

Food was fantastic!
Tandoori Lamb and Tandoori Prawns done to perfection with all the spice and smoke necessary...
Pamela's service was friendly and efficient.

Pricing of (alcoholic) drinks was astronomical...
Best to go elsewhere for drinks after the meal.

It's a good restaurant in and around Sandton... U get quite a lot of options on the menu to choose from... The Ambiance is really good... There is a separate area for hookah n smoking.... And a separate area for rest of them.... The food quality is good.... Portion size could be better... The staff is really good n polite... Do check it out.

We ordered food from here , Lamb briyani (on bone) and while the food was tasty, it wasn't exactly anything to write home about. Fairly mediocre at best. Then, there's the price. At R200 per meal I can get far more food at other restaurants at that price, enormously overpriced. Plus our meals arrived lukewarm. I can make exactly this meal at home using the same ingredients and spices at under a R100 per serving. Massively overpriced and an utter disappointment.

The service is prompt and good. The menu is quite big which I enjoyed and the food was also good. We really enjoyed it. Their mild really is mild which was great. We enjoyed the experience of dinner. They have brown wheat roti to cater for different appetites and gluten free meals can be found on the menu.

Their naan is a must try. I happily recommend this place to eat.
