Booked a 3 night stay with 3 kids under 12. They were bored by day 2. Very little for them to do other than mini golf. Wifi was very bad, no TV, no signal.

Food was bland had to have every food item dished on your behalf due to covid so only 5 guests served at a time. Yet one could make their own toast and tea.

No room cleaning service due to covid, waited hours for towels.

There was a clear lack of management presence. The staff was friendly.

Checked out a day early.

Game drive was fantastic

Myself and husband went pass weeknd for our anniversary and and I would highly recommend Aquila Private Game Reserve for safari drives as well as overnighters, the buffet breakfast, lunch and supper was very very good, catering for all preverences, they have a cost effective spa on premises as well as indoor warm water pool, sauna, steam room, and X2 outdoor pools they also have I nice playing area for kids. The staff so super friendly and makes you want to come back, its definitely worth every penny spent and definitely returning ????????????????my highlight is for the two mornings waking up look over balcony and eliphants walk pass the next morning it was a giraffe

Great safari drive, friendly staff especially the ladies ay the buffet, Osborne the porter and Zaid our safari ranger. Rooms were clean and of great standard... unfortunately the food let's down the whole beautiful experience. For an all inclusive price the food is as best mediocre bordering depressing. Bland and minimal variety... I kept expecting better at the next meal that dis not come. Assumed also that basic drinks like cola, water and juice would be inclusive but none of the drinks were which was a surprise cost... it's a great place so advise that food situation is sorted... read a few reviews and ot seems to be coming up a lot so should be taken note of.

People always tend to make the experience, Karen a wonderful hostess made us smile every day at every meal. Our safari guide Anwaar was amazing and very informative. And of course who you go with :) Spa facilities are quite nice too.

It was a very nice Safari experience, the number of big4 were quite few in this private reserve.

Great experience! Good option for families with young children. Children's play area has good indoor and outdoor options and has childminders onsite throughout the day so parents can enjoy the facilities and activities without worrying about their young ones. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is traditional South African "huis kos" and not high-end 4/5 star restaurant type food which is good for the South African experience. The chef adds his own twists to some of the traditional dishes. This is a private nature reserve so while the animals are roaming around freely, most of them have been brought into the reserve and "saved" from previous bad experiences so they are taken care of and not left on their own completely to survive. Their diets are supplemented by regular feeding from the staff. This experience cannot be compared to a Kruger National Park type of safari. We stayed in a family cottage which had all the necessary amenities and space needed. Covid rules means that staff do not service the rooms as you'd expect but if anything is needed, the staff are willing to assist.

Overall we had an incredible experience. Most staff were friendly, staff dishing up at meal times was a bit odd, great that the food was halaal and enough variety. An awesome spacious room with a decent bathroom and easy access to all activities, everything is close together. The pool, spa and chess areas are great to spend some time as well as late night star gazing. The safaris although a little repetitive were educational and we got to see 4 of the big 5. The highlight for us was definitely the quad bike safari, so much so that we did it twice and had
fun close encounters with giraffes and elephants.
