Such mixed opinions. The staff were outstanding and everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Our safari guide, Dino was particularly amazing. The food was really good and our accommodations were sparse but adequate, the entire property is quite small.

The scenery at the game reserve is beautiful and the ride there is stunning from Cape Town. Sadly there are very few animals at this reserve, I think we might have seen ten animals during two safaris. Most were in the distance and hard to even make out.

I would not go again and would recommend travelers to go to the other facility owned by the same company. We toured that property on the way home and it looked lovely.

We visited Inverdoorn one week ago, the two night winter special and were very disappointed. The service is very friendly but lousy, long waiting, food OK, the second lunch terrible, and almost no animals. If you wish to see animals, don't go there. Only one lion, two elephants, three hippos, and some zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and some small games. Very disappointing.

I was torn whether to give 3 or 4 stars.

Pros: some staff are great. Josh was lovely and went to such an effort to make our stay pleasurable. The facilities are generally good. They have the big 5. Food was good and copious.

Cons: due to no fault of theirs (there's been a 7 year drought) there are relatively few animals. One staff member was a bit dishonest and promised things they didn't help with. The facilities, whilst good were also a bit tired. Feels like the place could do with some refurbishment in parts.

Me and my fiance went on 7Jan 2022 for a weekend. What a waste of money! No buffets, shortage of food! no afternoon tea unless you're scheduled for a safari otherwise you left starving! Staff ignores you when you give a complaint. Very very weak wifi! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. This is not a Aquila Collection standard. After a week of sending a complaint email and phoning I'm still left with no response. I regret wasting my money and time at Invedoorn.

We had a wonderful time in the resort. Great rooms, fantastic service and breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner made us often speechless.
The safari tour was not to short and not too long. We've seen lots of animals in an nearly natural environment and got lots of great camera shots!! And the ranger gave us very interesting infomation about the animals, the history of the park and much more. Very informative.
They always wants us to feel well, comfortable and very welcome. Whenever you had a question, need some information, the reception and manager was always very helpfully.
We had also a fantastic view to the stars at night and one was very lucky. She saw a falling star.
My resumee: Very exclusive and I highly recommend that place...!! It won't be the last time visiting that place!!

If I could give a zero, I would. I dealt with someone called Marianne.

She is the most unreasonable person I've ever dealt with.

I bought a voucher for Inverdoorn via Hyperli. Once purchased, I noticed that babies were not allowed on safaris. She explained that there is babysitting but I was not comfortable with this.

When requesting for a refund, she outright refused and advised that she could book us into Aquella. I went there a few years ago and had the worse experience and wouldn't have taken up that offer. Had I known Inverdoorn was part of this group, I would not even have considered going there.

Never once did she advise that I could get my refund back from Hyperli, which they gladly processed and paid out as I lodged a refund query on the day of purchase.

The most unhelpful, inhuman establishment with ZERO understanding and empathy. I will never deal with them and will continue spreading the word of just how terrible they are.

I was welcomed with open arms by Garden Route Game lodge, where I paid the faction of the price and stayed for 3 nights, endless safaris, gourmet meals included, picnic and spa voucher. I highly recommend them. They made my birthday so special and even have kids activities and walks.
