Marele and her team are so exceptional! I went in to get a valuation done on my engagement and wedding ring. Marele was so friendly but more importantly she was so professional and efficient. She was meticulous in looking at the ring properly, giving it a clean and checking all the stones and fixing the loose ones (all which has never been done in the past with our jewellers for me). I could not recommend them enough! Their showroom is filled with amazing, well priced pieces that are so unique and the whole experience is just memorable! Thank you to you and your team!

The team at freeRange Jewels are unbelievably creative. I provided Marele with a very small amount of info around the birth of my daughter and she created something so perfect I would not have been able to come up with it if you gave me a thousand tries. I am so grateful I have someone I know I can rely on to more than make up for my lack of creative imagination. I love using jewellery as a way to commemorate important moments and that's why I tell everyone Marele is my fairy godmother, she literally makes magic happen. Thank you so much.

Looking for high-end quality artisan craftmanship?...something special for yourself or a loved one perhaps? Well..look no further than freeRange JEWELS! There were issues with the courier as I stay far out in a small town but these wonderful folks drove out to me and delivered my order personally. I was absolutely delighted and overwhelmed when my partner proposed to me with the most stunning ring I could imagine! The thoughtful and meaningful process behind the ring was evident in the intricate detail and overall beauty. The team at freeRange put in time, effort, and energy into handpicking the stones for this ring, coming up with a unique and exquisite design that flavoured my taste completely. I cannot that Marele and her team enough for making this ring which feels like it has belonged to me all along!

My experience with freeRange Jewels has been exceptional. The short story is that they provided excellent assistance and advice and then designed a drop-dead gorgeous engagement ring for me which my fiancé just cannot stop looking at. The ring is better than anything I could’ve imagined and I just cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone that’s looking for something very, very special.

If you want to know a bit more about the process then here’s the (very) long story. I went to the freeRange Jewels studio with only a couple of vague ideas for an engagement ring. Their jewellery designer Marelé spent time hearing me out, asked me some good questions and then proceeded to show me a selection of their existing rings (FYI all their jewellery is amazing). Among the selection was one option that I'd seen on their website but already excluded in my mind as I assumed the absence of a price tag meant it was exceedingly more expensive than everything else. So I was surprised and happy to have her explain to me that they could use that design for making a ring for me that'd fall within my budget.

In the end we narrowed things down to two possible options and she said she'd send me quotes and also source and assess suitable diamonds for those options. She actually ended up sending me quotes for three different options, as she thought of and came up with another excellent option. After she assessed suitable diamonds one option was however excluded again as she advised that the currently available diamonds for that particular design weren’t of a high enough standard. This then still left me with the dilemma of choosing between two amazing options.

It took me a few restless days and me running my thoughts, concerns and questions by Marelé. But after another brief trip to the studio I walked out feeling very confident that I’d chosen the right option, which happened to be the extra option that Marelé had thought of.

After that everything was hands-off for me. I just settled the money matters and then received a number of much appreciated and regular progress updates. The work itself was done swiftly and I was presented with a ring that exceeded my expectations in every which way. I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that my ‘fiancé to be’ would love it, and love it she does! The ring is one of a kind and I’m extremely grateful to Marelé and all of the freeRange Jewels team who worked on it for making it become a reality.
