Really nice experience. The food is awesome. People at the restaurant treat every customer with all love. The driver is really cool even for little ones. The will enjoy. I loved it.

I dont understand the bad reviews. One Tip, come for the safari at 4pm. We saw so much animals so close. It was awesome. Also the employees are very nice and friendly.

The meals are good and the rooms are clean.

Good day,

I am writing this with an unhappy and unsatisfied heart. On Sunday the 20 March 2022 we arrived at Aquila Game Reserve.

Firstly I’d like to bring to your attention the we have been to your other reserve Inverdooren and it was magical. I have been wanting to try Aquila for sometime as it was highly recommended and to be honest it felt like a big mistake.

It all started when we arrived. I got to reception where I made a payment for one night an amount of R5993.00 ( a bit excessive for what we got)

We were then told to go for lunch. We walk into the restaurant and not one staff member greeted or accommodated us. I was standing in the middle of the restaurant like a headless chicken not knowing what to do.We sat at the table for about 10 min before I got up and found someone to assist us. We then got our food which was cold and very unpleasant. For the price you charge for one night I would have expected much better quality and service.

We then went for dinner later that evening and let’s say that it was nothing short of the same experience I had at lunch. Buffet again for dinner food was cold that my wife didn’t even eat, I literally forced myself to eat because I was hungry.

It doesn’t end there!!!

We then went to our room where there was no towels, coffee, complementary water or milk. This is absolutely shocking. I then had to go and arrange everything myself.

When I made my booking I originally booked a premium lodge room which I was told will be upgraded. Little did I know that they mixed our rooms up and we spent our time in the wrong room how unprofessional. I was told that this morning by the general manager.
We go away often and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had.

My whole time there was very unpleasant and unprofessional that I will not recommend your reserve to anyone.

Absolutely amazing experience! I one hundred percent recommend going. It is about a two hour drive from Cape Town. Our tour guide Max was fantastic and gave us all sorts of information. Lunch was included with the safari. We saw so many animals and were able to get so close to them. Definitely a must do!

What an incredible experience. We've never done a safari before so i dont have anything to compare it to. However this was one exceptional experience. It’s a full day event I wouldn’t recommend bringing small children. It’s in an open air vehicle. We had a fantastic tour guide who was funny. You could definitely tell that the animals had been drugged or fed or something because the Lions didn’t move at all we were told by the tour guide that they had just been fed but it’s hard to believe that they were just lying and sitting and would not move anyhow, I had just received my new digital camera and I had a fun time taking extraordinary photos. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is visiting Cape Town it is probably one of the better safaris to take
