Nice place. Lady at the reception is awesome. So the permanent guests can be very rowdy. Walked in at night and one lady was sleeping on the couch upstairs which worried me a bit. The showers require maintenance. There aren't any Male toilets and bathrooms upstairs, you must walk all the way down the stairs which irritated me.

The place is clean, the lady at reception was really nice, my next stay in Green Point will definitely be at Big Blue Backpackers. The check in time is perfect, 11am I think for early arrivals. Keep it up❤️

We've been back and forth a number of times due to my operation and everytime we stay at our Big Blue, home away from home the reason I say this is because it's a very chilled environment, relaxed easy going staff that go out of there way to attend to your needs. The Old Lady (Big Blue) has so many spacious yet cozy rooms and everyone welcome the two dogs one, looks like pittie cross u0026 then I other a wire terrier I think complete the family and are very friendly, yet protective over the guests.

The Old Lady has everything you need from WiFi which unlike other places,you are always connected except for the kitchen (I think that it was planned that way) to pool u0026ping pong, awesome bar little expensive if you are from S.A. but cheap for international guests. The kitchen is nice and spacious allowing quiet a few people to do there thing and they have a everything you need in a kitchen as well as a stove and not one but two stove tops (8 plates), I could go on about how good the staff, Owner u0026 GM are as well as the Old Lady but it wouldn't do justice, ???? you really need to come see for yourself and relax around the pool while the bar lady whips you up one of her own home made cocktails. Absolutely awesome Management and Staff and doggies.????????

Absolutely basic, cost cutting and fair deal place to sleep. Clean decent, but old and worn. No complaints.

Big Blues.. yeah this backpackers was awesome. Met alot of down to earth people. Always a vibe and different personalities. The staff are awesome and always there if you need help with anything. Nice clean place.. and price wise very good.
