We had a great experience! Gathering from the name, I was a bit sceptical as to what to expect - but from the moment you drive through the gate it's beautiful and tranquil. The architecture is strikingly stunning and the gardens are well manicured with plenty of shade. It's a great place for the whole family to relax and have a good meal.
We were seven people and we all enjoyed our food. The service was excellent.
There is plenty of parking, restrooms and a play area for kids.

TL;DR: great place, wonderful food, excellent staff.

The food was amazing. Truly truly wonderful. All the dishes we had was very well prepared with good quality ingredients. The drinks were really good with very large variety. The place had a wonderful atmosphere with a fireplace in the winter. Great for more older groups but not excluded to families with smaller children. Would definitely visit again.

SUPER wheelchair friendly. From the sign at the parking to the friendly parking attendant, checking if we really have a wheelchair and then running to get the ramp ready for us. Huge selection of food and beautiful cakes on display. Really enjoyed everything of this restaurant.

Had a lovely time at the Green Room. Peaceful atmosphere and delicious food. Absolute star of the show was the apple and almond cake -moist, plenty icing and great crunch from the nuts!
Sadly the only downside was not being approached by a waiter on arrival, so ordering of drinks and receiving a menu was delayed.

Great service from friendly staff with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. My husband had the salted caramel latte, which was fantastic. I am not a big coffee fan, but thoroughly enjoyed my crème brule latte. The french toast was beautifully presented and delicious. I loved the little explanations, stories and poems in the menu. We will definitely return to this hidden gem we have found.

Beautiful venue with lovely gardens for kids to run around in. Ample shade for those hot summer days.

Food was served quick and was well done and presented.

Only flaw was that the play area one can only order from the deli which has limited options.

So we had to order, eat and then go by play area.

Perfect for picnics too. Safe and secure, very friendly people in the area. Food is reasonably priced

Forget all your food and other inhibitions at the door and savour the surprising and delightful ambiance, service and food offerings at this amazing establishment. Just reading the notes on the menu is a delight. Our party of three started off with good hot coffee. I had the moerkoffie with condensed milk!! Delicious. That was followed by the beetroot health drink ... delicious again, then the asparagus and pistachio for mains. My two companions had the smashed avo on toasted wholewheat bread and were blown away by the sensual flavours. For dessert we shared the Afro-gato and that was just awesome. It was certainly the most memorable culinary highlight of our year so far. Kenneth was an excellent and fun host. Afro-boer and everything about it is a special place to be savoured and contemplated.
