I visited The Baron with my family on the 27/08/2022. Firstly you have to make reservations to visit this restaurant, It is situated in a beautiful safe area next to Legacy Yard, also you have safe undercover parking. The restaurants style and theme is really stunning, Waiters are welcoming and friendly. But most people would go here for the atmosphere and the beautiful view of the ocean, the restaurant offers you an outside seating option on the deck which is awesome for photos. The food is also really good and decently priced in my opinion. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because you have limited time to be there which is understandable with the amount of people that visit it... The toilets are also well kept ????

This is actually one of our go to places in Umhlanga ..we have been here on more that six occasions
...the key is consistency...

The waiters and manager are always good ...attentive with great communication skills and they interact with the patrons.

We have tried a few items but one of the best is the chicken Espada...not sure if the spelling is correct....The Gin Cocktails are always a winner.

Great food and prices are not to bad ...also located next to Legacy Yard which has good vibes with great views overlooking Umhlanga.

We did see a lot of people opting for the pot pies so maybe we will try that on our next visit????????????????

Had the seafood options.

Calamari main was disappointing.
Rice had no salt and chips weren't the greatest. Calamari was over fried and a little burnt.

The prawn pasta was great , apart from the fact it had just 2 prawns. 2 PRAWNS ONLY. Tasted great but only 2 prawns. Still can't get over that

Would not recommend If you don't eat the steak or chicken grilled options as these were better.

Nice vibe, good place and friendly staff.
Just the lack of options for those not eating steak or chicken.

The place is superbly designed with amazing views of the Ocean and Umhlanga Ridge. The presentation of the food was to our satisfaction. The food was okay, although I would recommend that they season their fish with a pinch or more salt. The staff is great and the ambience is something to look forward to. We are definitely returning to Baron.

Good steaks, on the ball service from Sthembiso, nice cocktails, said so from the people that had them. Wasn't a fan of the chicken liver starter, which the manager promptly came and apologized for and was taken off the bill.Located at the Legacy Yard in Umhlanga Arch.

Been here a few times since the above review, the service and food have been outstanding on each occasion, Ricky the manager is one of the most friendly and accommodating individuals I've met. You are an asset to this establishment.

Beautiful views, great service. Very attentive management. Wait for the food was long but worth the wait. Chicken espatada was really good. Will certainly return.
